No. A PRE is a forensic evaluation. There is no therapeutic relationship or confidentiality in the traditional sense. Information obtained may be included in the report to the Court.
No. Ethical guidelines prohibit serving simultaneously as a forensic evaluator and treating therapist in the same matter.
No. The Court makes all final decisions. The evaluator provides clinical recommendations only.
No. Children are not placed in a decision-making role. Their input is considered within developmental and legal parameters.
Non-participation or limited participation will be documented and may impact the evaluation.
Corrections of factual inaccuracies may be addressed. Professional opinions are not negotiable.
